4 Pillar Trading review: is the $19 trial worth it?

4 Pillar Trading is a subscription trading-education service. Rather than selling a pre-recorded course or trade alerts, it runs live sessions on a weekly rhythm and gives members a community room where trade ideas are posted, critiqued, and reviewed after the fact. The teaching is organised around four “pillars” that it treats as one connected system: Macro (reading the market regime), Fundamentals (valuing a business), Options & Strategies (expressing a view with defined risk), and Portfolio & Risk (sizing and surviving to compound).

The pitch is that most education teaches these pieces in isolation, whereas 4 Pillar teaches how a macro view flows through to the specific, sized trade that expresses it.

The credibility rests on the people teaching. The bench is made up of traders with real institutional careers: long/short portfolios that ranked top-25 of a thousand at UBS; a desk that traded European banks through the 2008 crisis at Goldman Sachs and Cazenove; a senior proprietary trader who ran a $500m Pan-European book at Commerzbank; and an options trader who made Managing Director at Bank of America before 30. Four of the five also previously mentored at the Institute of Trading and Portfolio Management (ITPM).

These are verifiable, specific backgrounds rather than the vague “7-figure trader” claims common in this space, and that is the single best reason to take the service seriously.

The members-only room is what sets it apart. You post a trade idea and get written pushback from a mentor and the room before you put money on, then the idea is revisited when it plays out, logged in public so the room learns from it. It is explicitly positioned against signal-selling: the reasoning is the product, not a list of alerts to copy.

For an intermediate trader, having a former institutional trader tell you your size is three times your average loser, or that two of your positions are really one trade, is a faster feedback loop than any course.

The programme runs as a scheduled cycle (twenty live sessions, five per pillar), not a library you binge, with each session recorded if you cannot attend live. That structure is a plus if you want a plan you can follow week to week.

The one thing to confirm before you commit is timing: the live element is the point, so check what days and time zone the sessions run in and whether that fits your schedule. If you can only ever watch the recordings, you are getting a (still useful) recorded course plus a forum, not live mentorship, so factor that into the price.

The entry point, through this site’s founding partnership, is $19 for a 14-day trial of Premium Plus, the top tier, with everything unlocked. On the standard pricing page Premium Plus lists at $299/month and is reserved for mentoring clients; the founding offer opens it directly and locks a founding rate for life: 10% off, or 20% off your first year on annual ($2,392.03 against the $2,990 list) then 10% off. Membership starts on day 15 only if you stay, and the merchant states you can cancel from your account at any time. The $19 trial is genuinely low-risk and is the right way to evaluate the service: 14 days is enough to sit in on sessions, post an idea, and see whether the room is active and the teaching lands.

Treat the ongoing rate as the real decision: $269.10/month at the founding discount, or $2,392.03 for year one on annual. The trial tells you whether the ongoing subscription is worth it for you; do not sign up for the trial without being clear on what you are opting into after it.

On the evidence available, the mentors and their institutional backgrounds are specific and verifiable, the model is transparent (a stated price, a standard subscription, one-click cancellation), and the service is upfront that it is education, not advice. Those are the markers of a legitimate operation rather than a scam.

That is not the same as saying it will make you money. No education can promise that, and trading carries a real risk of loss. “Legit” here means the service is what it says it is; whether it is worth the ongoing rate is a judgement only the 14-day trial can settle for you.
